Jay King, owner of Arkansas Glassworks, has over fifty years experience working in stained glass. He learned the basics of the craft from his uncle, John Yaskot, working on repair of windows for Hawk & Handsaw in Chicago. For 14 years, he worked for Renaissance Glass and various other stained glass studios in Austin, Texas. He moved to Little Rock in 1988 where he was employed by American Wholesale Glass for four years, eventually opening his own stained glass studio in 1993.
As Arkansas Glassworks, Jay has designed and built stained glass windows for around three dozen churches and numerous residences in central Arkansas. He has repaired and restored many stained glass windows as well. Historic glazing is another service Arkansas Glassworks provides.
